Materials Planner
Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Materials Planner. Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time. **What you’ll do:** **Primary Function - Job Summary** Understands and supports the suppliers planning, ordering, scheduling and tracking of customer material requirements in order to meet and/or exceed delivery provisions and production schedules. Plan, schedule and expedite material releases for the product line. Use of MRP system to plan and manage all inventory levels to reach plant & divisional goals and DOH , Manage Suppliers OTD and Excess and Obsoletes **Essential Functions - Job Responsibilities** A. knowledge in quality management systems, A-Maintains the quantity of materials needed to support productio schedules. Tracks inbound purchases, communicates materials shortages, reviews materials requirements against forecasted shipping specifications; reports resource issues and potential corrective actions to appropriate personnel. B. Maintains the quantity of materials needed to support production schedules and manage inventory levels to meet DOH target and avoid E& O or slow movement C. Tracks inbound purchases, communicates materials shortages, reviews materials requirements against forecasted shipping specifications; reports resource issues and potential corrective actions to appropriate personnel. D. Manages schedules and overseas the ordering of material/part resources to meet production build specifications. F. Interfaces and assists suppliers in managing constraints, overcoming issues and planning corrective actions in order to attain 100% performance outcomes for supplier delivery systems. G. Create and distribute assembly schedules and review them with product line team members H. Trained as a qualified backup for the Master Scheduler position to temporarily cover the main responsibilities of the position when the Master Scheduler is out of the plant I. Support to pursue alternative materials procurement and sourcing methods to supplement MRP planning strategies. J. Actively participates in analyzing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels per customer specifications. K. Analyzes material requirements; plans and initiates schedules to support customer production schedule and plans. L. Updates resource planning/tracking database to ensure customer ship schedules are on-time and on-schedule. M. Supports the development of materials/resource requirements (build/ship schedules) for multiple production lines. N. Expedites and communicates schedule changes to appropriate personnel O. Documents and tracks on time supplier delivery matrix P. Identifies and documents new item attributes Q. Documents, validates, and communicates add-ins and cancellations within frozen order board periods and notifies appropriate personnel. R. Notifies staff and appropriate personnel of potential and/or actual materials shortages that will impact customer production schedules. S. In charge to maintain the optimal inventory levels in the plant T. Demonstrate the application of the 8 CIF modules and support related initiatives on daily basis through establishing, maintaining and complying his/her Standard Work and other tools. Participate in Kaizen events, Lean Council and Continuous Improvement teams when required. Generate ideas for improvement according with the local programs. Implement and optimize Lean Management tools. Sustain the ELLS tools (VSM, 5´s, TMP, STW, Set up, Problem Solving, Materials Management and 6 Sigma) to drive the continuous improvement performance when apply. U .Follow up of Supplier Performance. OTD Suppliers with action plan to maintain targets and manage DMR V. Knowledge and involvement in the quality management system **Qualifications:** **Education level required** + Bachelor Degree + **Years of experience required** + 3-5 years of experience in production control environment **Technical knowledge** + Solid knowledge of Just-in-Time & LEAN manufacturing concepts + MRP knowledge **Diplomas/certifications** + APICS would be a plus English level + Strong communications skills (Spanish & English) **Systems:** + Microsoft Office Required, Oracle and ASCP would be a plus **Functional competencies** + Inventory Management, demand management, capacity planning, MRP, Supply Chain continuity planning **Skills:** **Soft skills** + Demonstrated team-working and comunication skills **Others** + Ability to learn & manage MRP system We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
