Materials Planner

Material Resource Planner (MRP)

Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid – 50% Onsite)

Contract Duration: 2+ Months with Potential for Full-Time

We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented Material Resource Planner (MRP) to help shape the future of our supply chain operations. What You’ll Do

Develop and maintain time-phased material plans based on BOMs, production schedules, and program timelinesTranslate program demand into actionable planned orders and coordinate purchasing activities with ProcurementMonitor material status and availability across development, qualification, and production phasesEnsure MRP system data accuracy, including lead times, lot sizes, and reorder pointsDrive resolution of material shortages by working closely with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and QualityAssess material impacts from configuration changes and design updatesIdentify and escalate risks to material readiness and delivery timelinesCollaborate with Engineering to validate BOM accuracy, manage part substitutions, and support early material needsContribute to program schedules, burn-down charts, and execution readiness metrics

What You Bring

2–5 years of experience in material planning, production scheduling, or MRP systemsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data-driven decision makingExperience in aerospace, defense, medical, or aviation industries preferredFamiliarity with NetSuite, JobBOSS, or similar ERP/MRP systemsUnderstanding of sourcing, vendor management, and purchase order coordinationExperience working with electronic materials and regulated environments is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
