**What you will do:**
The Materials Planner plays a vital role in supporting logistics and operational coordination with our 3rd party supplier. The person in this role will deal with materials planning for engine events by coordinating deliveries and shipments, engine induction, coordinating the kitting process for engines, materials acquisition, and much more! To excel in this role, you must be an effective communicator who is able to manage competing priorities and work effectively both individually and in a team environment. You will also work closely with our 3rd party supplier and be a liaison between the supplier and our shop floor employees.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ PWES Liaison for 3rd Party Logistics supplier (3PL) and Pratt and Whitney sister companies (i.e. Plant 5 for Assemble, Plant 1 and Plant 22 for Test Cell, etc.) provides support and connects 3rd party with appropriate department for support needs
+ Coordinate support in planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant MRO operations
+ Work with MRO team and participate in the development of monthly production volume planning using business forecast, inventory position, customer orders, and defined capacity parameters
+ Identify and develop new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability
+ Work with Quality, Engineering and 3PL to provide support for part protection requirements.
+ Support Lean Manufacturing opportunities to develop processes for transporting parts to and from 3PL within QA requirements
+ Provide feedback and provide support for boxes and containers required by the shop to ensure correct part protection
+ Review and sign off on approved box designs
+ Support with COPQ by events researching and gathering SAP details and shop floor processes, identifying root cause, corrective and preventative actions
+ Assist with reviewing and changing Work Instructions
+ Provide direct support to employees in Shipping, Receiving, Packing, Marshalling, Storeroom, Kitting, WIP Scanning, Scrap Cage, Off Site Warehouse Inventory, NorthStar Inventory, WIP in PWES Hallways, Skids, Skid Repair, Fab Shop and Non-Product (updating Bruckner Catalog)
+ Tracking appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement
+ Update SPQDC KPI’s and actions (Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
+ Support NorthStar with AAR’s for missed KPI’s
+ Review time studies and provide support for process improvements
+ Perform Tier 1 Audits (Storeroom, Dock, Marshalling, & WIP Scanning area)
+ Review SOX findings and drive actions to closure
+ Provide assistance to help action Audit findings
+ Set up Quarterly Management review meetings
+ Manage employees’ profile in Workday for new hires, extend existing contract dates, and terminations
+ Review warehouse items and sell/ discard unwanted items to reduce warehouse square footage
+ Establish warehouse sales of excess assets
+ Coordinate with finance to maintain an accurate asset’s inventory
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, and/or inventory control, OR
+ An associate’s degree and 4+ years of equivalent experience, OR
+ 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education background
**Qualifications we Prefer:**
+ Prior experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory control
+ SAP (or other ERP systems) experience
+ Aftermarket Aviation or MRO experience
+ Ability to communicate and work across multiple levels of the organization.
+ Ability to build and maintain internal and external customer relationships

This role is:
+ **Onsite** : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
