The Opportunity

Build the backbone. Power the opening. Keep everything moving.

A new hotel is rising – and we’re looking for a highly organized, solution-driven Materials Manager to oversee the full procurement and supply chain for our pre-opening and operational needs. From kitchen equipment to linens to heart-of-house tech, you’ll ensure every department has what it needs…..before they even know they need it.

What You’ll Do

Led All Pre-Opening Procurement

· Manage sourcing, purchasing and delivery of all OSE materials, supplies and equipment

· Coordinator with contractors, designers, and department heads to finalise specification

· Ensure all items arrive on time, within budget and aligned with brand standards

Build Supply Chain Systems from Scratch

· Set up the purchasing processes, vendor databases, and inventory management systems

· Establish ordering procedure, approval workflows, and stock control protocols with the Director of Finance

· Assist with the setup of the purchasing module in the PMS systems

Control Costs and Ensure Quality

· Negotiate contracts and secure the best pricing for goods and services

· Implement const-control measures to support opening budgets and operational goals

· Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and brand requirements

Manage Inventory Logistics

· Oversee receiving, storage, issuing and stock rotation for all supplies

· Coordinate deliveries and receiving schedules to support construction and operational timelines

· Ensure accurate records, stock levels, and documentation for all materials

Cross Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with Finance to ensure proper documentation, coding and auditing

· Partner with Culinary, Engineering, Housekeeping and Operations to meeting their material need

· Train colleagues on procurement systems, inventory handling and SOPs

· Skilled at negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimisation

· Comfortable working in fast-paced, pre-opening environments with shifting priorities

· Tech-savvy with knowledge of procurement or inventory software

· A collaborative communicator who thrived on making things run smoothly behind the scenes
