Trane Technologies is hiring a Materials Manager in Noblesville, IN. The Materials Manager leads a team of Material Planners, with the responsibility of planning and scheduling the delivery of material from suppliers. This team is responsible to monitor the flows of buy items, guarantee availability of components in order to avoid material shortages and production downtime, as well as to manage inventory levels to meet our customer service and inventory targets.

Where is the work:  

On-Site (5 days)  

  

What you will do:    

 

Manages material planning activity to ensure timely delivery of material to support production operations 

Serve as an escalation point with Material Planners when Planners are not able to resolve issues effectively 

Ensure that Planning Team is trained and effectively utilizing ERP tools and company standard work 

Act as Lean Champion for Materials Planning functions 

Perform timely, cost-conscious procurement of production/inventory/MRO items. 

From approved supplier list, recommend and select suppliers to fulfill scheduled plant deliveries. 

Ensure optimal inventory levels and safety stock are maintained for their parts 

 

What you will bring:  

 

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree. High school or equivalent experience required.  

5+ years’ experience with planner/buyer manufacturing experience 

Leadership experience preferred 

Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes 

Experience with rate based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments. 

Computer proficient and experienced with visual management systems. 

 

This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.  

 

Compensation:    

Base Pay Range: $91,000 - $145,000

This role will also include a Bonus/Incentive Plan
