Now is a great time to join our team in Van Wert! We are seeking an expereinced Materials Manager to support the expansion of our Data Center.
This position is responsible for leading the planning and procurement of materials to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time customer delivery. This role focuses on developing effective supply strategies, managing ERP-driven planning processes, and coordinating with multiple suppliers to balance cost, quality, and availability. The Materials Manager partners closely with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance to align material availability with business needs while driving efficiency and scalability.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Lead material planning and procurement processes to align with production schedules and customer demand. Manage ERP/MRP system performance to ensure accurate planning, forecasting, and supplier communication. Oversee relationships with multiple suppliers to ensure material availability, quality, and on-time delivery. Develop sourcing and replenishment strategies that minimize lead times and working capital exposure. Drive alignment between Sales, Operations, and Finance through SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning). Monitor demand forecasts and adjust procurement strategies to meet fluctuations in customer demand. Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring material readiness and supplier capacity.What We're Looking For
Required (basic) qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of progressive experience in materials planning, procurement, or supply chain management. Strong ERP/MRP systems expertise, with experience managing data integrity across multiple suppliers. Proven track record in supplier management, planning optimization, and cost reduction initiatives. Solid understanding of SIOP processes, demand forecasting, and capacity planning. Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
