**Job Description**
Responsible for maintaining par levels for all department inventories managed by Materials Management staff which includes: all O.R and all procedure areas. Makes recommendations for improved services/practices.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or the equivalent desired.
+ 3-5 years warehouse / inventory and supply/equipment distribution. 2-3 years supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
**Responsibilities**
1. Modifies par levels according to usage history.
2. Identifies products that are obsolete and works with vendors and/or Purchasing to receive credit or exchange.
3. Notifies Assistant Director & Director of early warnings for pending difficulties.
4. Acts as Gatekeeper for all converted product as well as requests for new products ensuring no duplication and limiting loss of products (obsolescence) due to newer technology.
5. Must prepare for and react to emergency situations by ensuring that medical supplies for all managed areas are available and sufficient.
6. Resolves stock outs, back orders, credit holds, recalls, deletions, returns for credit to ensure that hospital service is not compromised.
7. Proposes, procures, maintains and manages vendor owned Consignment agreements.
8. Assigns, directs and supervises all Inventory Specialists at all sites.
9. Interfaces with administrators, clinical coordinators, surgeons, buyers, sales reps and other department heads to solve problems or advance new ideas.
10. Holds monthly staff meetings to inform of new issues and resolve pending issues.
11. Interfaces with Human Resources and Labor Union (Local 1199) to ensure the proper working conditions and environment without sacrificing safety, efficiency and productivity.
12. Interviews, develops, and when necessary disciplines subordinate personnel.
13. Conducts performance evaluations and maintains employee morale and performance.
14. Participates in rounds to ensure departmental performance and documents findings (Quality Inspections of Par Levels, Expired Products, Count Sheets, Open P.O.’s etc.).
15. Addresses deficiencies and develops programs to correct as well as to meet new challenges and initiatives.
16. Responsible for maintenance of department records including personnel folders, in-services, contracts, Human Resources documents and supplies.
17. Ensures that staff is aware of and adhering to department and hospital policies and procedures at all times.
18. Prepares monthly productivity reports and others as needed.
19. Performs Physical Inventory of all managed med/surge products twice yearly.

**Compensation Statement**
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64526.72 - $80818 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
