Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Manages the Materials Department. Develops and implements supply chain plans that affect the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products to enhance product flow.Collaborates with production and asset care and other departments to develop plant scheduling to optimize schedule compliance and on-time, in-full deliveryEnsures inventory accuracy through cycle counting and physical inventory.Manages Warehouse Operations at the plant – scheduling, material handling, shipping and receivingMonitors material usage and develop plans to improve production variances with operationsLiaisons with procurement, operations and IBP on MRP process.Supports the monthly S&O process.Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, procedures, training. Ensures quality & cost control.Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.Maintains appropriate, accurate records and prepares reports.Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers. Meets deadlines.  Ensures adherence to all safety requirements and 6S. Fosters a safety culture.  Conducts plant wide Gemba walks weekly to monitor 6S, safety, and food safety complianceEnsures compliance to quality and audit requirementsEnsures compliance to PEPS (continuous improvement system). Supply Chain LeadAbility to problem solve, determine root cause and establish cause and effect relationships Engages employees and develops employees for next level roles. Qualifications

 

Education/Experience:

BA/BS degree in supply chain planning, business, operations management, logistics or engineering with 4+ years previous experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, manufacturing, procurement or distribution operations in a multi-facility environment.Effective communication skills, team building and demonstrated leadership skills at all levels. Strong organizational skills with strict attention to detail and sound judgement Strong analytical, oral and written communication skillsTypically has a particular area of specialty (replenishment, inventory control, logistics, etc.)Microsoft Office proficiency with advanced Excel skills requiredSAP and Blue Yonder proficiency preferredAbility to multi-task and prioritize. Ability to develop and deliver training.  Ability to manage projects
