**Job Summary:**
The Shipping Logistics Supervisor responsible for Inventory Control, Shipping and Receiving. The Supervisor will be responsible to lead all activities related to daily materials movement, and Logistics activities associated with Receiving and Shipping Activities. In addition the Supervisor will lead various initiatives focused on cost reductions, working capital improvement, lean process strategies, and internal service enhancements.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Lead continuous improvement efforts with supporting organizations throughout the site including Contracts and Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Operations
+ Develop, establish and lead the Shipping Logistics team, including Finished Goods Stores, Shipping Inspection and packaging, being both mentor and coach to develop individual and team excellence
+ Maintain and facilitate the accurate control and accountability of inventory
+ Communicate with external and internal customers regarding problems associated with Shipping Logistics and address and resolve issues quickly. Serve as liaison to other functional areas in order to ensure the day-to-day problems and conflicts are resolved and that discrepancies are addressed
+ Maintain a proactively trained and flexible team ensuring that inspectors and shipping logistic team members have proper skills for their assignments and that they are highly responsive to the needs of internal and external customers
+ Provide quality reports and matrices related to the shipping logistics processes that are helpful to customers and for the improvement of processes
+ Assist in continuous quality improvement. Evaluate and recommend changes in methods and procedures
+ Plan, coordinate and manage the performance of physical inventories and/or cycle counting as required to meet fiscal reporting requirements
+ Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
**Non-Essential Functions:**
+ Coordinate with or lead Excess & Obsolete inventory data reporting, disposition, withdrawal and disposal processes with Procurement.
+ Provide data, reports and analysis as required to support Supply Chain, Finance and Corporate requests for information relative to E&O, inventory categorization and controls.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Experience: Minimum 5 years work experience, with 3+ years supervising or leading people, preferably in a manufacturing environment
+ Knowledge:
+ Solid understanding of integrated production and inventory management techniques and processes.
+ Shipping and Receiving Logistics
+ LEAN principles and methodologies
+ Skills/Abilities:
+ Extensive computer skills in Excel, Access and word processing applications.
+ Experience using an ERP system, preferably Oracle
+ Excellent organizational and process development/optimization skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
+ Strong communications skills – both verbal and written.
+ Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent
+ **Eligibility Requirement:** This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ BS (or pursuing degree) 4-year degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field
+ APICS and/or ISM certifications
**_Salary range: $77,500.00 to $97,200.00._** Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
