Materials Handler responsible for receipt, storage, documentation, and distribution of materials in compliance with AS9100 requirements.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
AS9100 certification
Proven experience as a Materials Handler or in a similar role in aerospace or manufacturing
Strong knowledge of AS9100 requirements and their application in daily material handling operations
Proficiency with computer systems and software for inventory management and documentation
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and safely operate material handling equipment
Preferred Skills
Additional relevant certifications or post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or related fields
Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience supporting audits and inspections for AS9100 or other quality management systems
Job Responsibilities
Manage receipt, storage, and distribution of materials within the organization
Receive incoming materials, verify contents against documentation, and inspect for quality and accuracy
Identify and properly label materials for storage or distribution in accordance with AS9100 requirements
Conduct regular inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and report issues to appropriate personnel
Implement proper storage techniques to preserve and protect materials, including adherence to handling and environmental requirements
Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing materials, including quantities, lot numbers, serial numbers, and other relevant data
Create and update material handling documents, including packing lists, bills of lading, and inventory reports
Ensure all material-related documentation is completed accurately, promptly, and in compliance with AS9100 standards
Participate in audits and inspections related to AS9100 compliance and provide required documentation and support
Identify and support improvements in material handling processes to enhance efficiency and maintain compliance
Collaborate with quality assurance and other departments to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions
Coordinate with procurement, production, and quality teams to ensure timely and accurate material availability for manufacturing processes
Support other departments by fulfilling material requests and maintaining proper material flow
Pay Details: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour
