Materials handlers are responsible for managing supply chain activities in the assigned area under the direction of the supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

Performs procurement activities for assigned areas in a cost-effective manner using current inventory management processes and proceduresCommunicates product concerns to supply chain management and seeks input or approval from the Clinical Resource Directors - CRD- for all newly requested items prior to placing an orderMaterials handlers should be in business appropriate attire prior to the start of the scheduled shiftConsistently anticipates customer needs and expectations; responds to supply inquiries in a timely and effective manner

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent requiredSupply Chain experience preferredExcellent customer service skills required

Physical Requirements:

Risk of injury from equipment used in moving productAbility to lift, pull and push up to 50 lbs

Essential Functions:

All departments, patients, family, visitors, nursing, clinical and medical staffPractices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, initiatives, and trainingConducts supply chain activities for assigned areasResponsible for the research, mitigation, and resolution of customer concerns and escalates when needed.Performs delegated tasks and special projects as assignedActs as a subject-matter expert in assigned areasAttends daily meetings and huddlesHas a working knowledge of all the equipment used in the supply chain departmentResponsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage- ie. walls, ceiling tiles, etc.,Perform all other duties as assigned

Days 6am-2:30pmMon-Fri Weekend rotation/Holiday
