The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Materials handlers are responsible for managing supply chain activities in the assigned area under the direction of the supply chain management. Responsibilities: + Performs procurement activities for assigned areas in a cost-effective manner using current inventory management processes and procedures + Communicates product concerns to supply chain management and seeks input or approval from the Clinical Resource Directors - CRD- for all newly requested items prior to placing an order + Materials handlers should be in business appropriate attire prior to the start of the scheduled shift + Consistently anticipates customer needs and expectations; responds to supply inquiries in a timely and effective manner Requirements: + High School Diploma or equivalent required + Supply Chain experience preferred + Excellent customer service skills required Physical Requirements: + Risk of injury from equipment used in moving product + Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 lbs Essential Functions: + All departments, patients, family, visitors, nursing, clinical and medical staff + Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, initiatives, and training + Conducts supply chain activities for assigned areas + Responsible for the research, mitigation, and resolution of customer concerns and escalates when needed. + Performs delegated tasks and special projects as assigned + Acts as a subject-matter expert in assigned areas + Attends daily meetings and huddles + Has a working knowledge of all the equipment used in the supply chain department + Responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage- ie. walls, ceiling tiles, etc., + Perform all other duties as assigned Schedule: + Days 6am-2:30pm + Mon-Fri Weekend rotation/Holiday RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
