The Materials Costing analyst of the Material Costing Intelligence (MCI) will be a part of the Product Supply Enablement Function (PSE) at VF Corporation. Located in Singapore, responsibilities include tactical material costing and data governance, working actively to maintain material clean sheets and costing frameworks with the aim of optimizing negotiation outcomes and margin planning. The individual will bring a strong analytical mindset to the organization and fully leverage “One VF way” through use of fact-based costing methodologies and systems. The individual will partner closely with material sourcing teams and suppliers to govern costing framework and system adherence. Frequent influential communication to Management level is required
Key Result Areas:
Negotiation Preparation
Work actively with the costing intelligence team lead to develop and consolidate relevant material price and supplier performance data to build fact packs for supplier negotiations
Execute material negotiation tools (e.g. material clean sheets, fabric cost breakdown templates), analyzing results and providing insights / talking points to the negotiation team
Material Costing Intelligence
Support seasonal material operational processes impacting cost (e.g. PPV analysis, pre-position, efficiency analysis)
Working closely with suppliers, external data service providers and other data streams, extract, clean and analyze material cost data to support a monthly commodity cost report
Project Management
Provide clear communication to internal stakeholders to influence behavior change and achieve business objectives
Co-ordinate and support ad-hoc material costing related requests (e.g. sustainable alternatives price analysis, specific commodity deep dive fact packs etc.)

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
1-2 years of experience in operations, procurement or costing (Fresh graduates welcome)
Undergraduate degree in Quantitative/STEM field
Intermediate user of Microsoft Office tools, especially excel
Basic proficiency in data processing and visualization tools (e.g. Knime, Alteryx, Excel VBA, Tableau, PowerBI etc.)
Clear communication skills, both verbally and written, in English
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good stakeholder management
