As a Materials Coordinator, you will support inventory and supply operations by maintaining appropriate stock levels based on department needs and ensuring all processes follow established policies and procedures. You will also oversee the management of inventory, supplies, and equipment across all hospital areas. In this role, you will join a supportive team of caregivers united by shared values and a common goal to provide exceptional patient care while creating a positive and rewarding workplace.
**A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Manage all phases of ordering, receiving, distribution, and warehousing of all essential departmental equipment and supplies in Lawson and/or specialty items including assistance with purchase order creation.
+ Search, order, and track non-inventory and replacements for backordered items.
+ Implement, manage, and maintain inventory systems to order, control, expedite, and inventory supplies such as but not limited to setting par levels, order points and reorder quantities.
+ Coordinate pick-up and delivery of items with courier service as needed.
+ Package and deliver supplies per customer requests.
+ Inventory linen carts and prepare linen orders.
+ Maintain inventory of other supply areas as assigned (copy rooms, treatment rooms etc.) Track and remove expired inventory.
+ Maintain organized, clean storeroom and other related work areas including semi-annual physical inventory check.
+ Maintain the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationships with all vendor representatives and caregivers, conduct business according to established principles and guidelines
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Basic reading, writing, and math skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Experience with Lawson systems
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to frequently lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
+ Performance of job duties requires standing, bending and walking for duration of at least an 8 hour shift.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
