Here's the Scoop – Summary

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory replenishment, driving execution and accountability across all inventory activities within the supply chain. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials and inventory to maintain optimal stock levels that meet production requirements. Key responsibilities include overseeing the introduction of new products into the system, managing purchase orders, and ensuring end-to-end supply continuity in alignment with operational needs.

What a typical day looks like:

Ensure compliance to Company’s policies, practices and procedures related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and the EnvironmentPlace purchase orders while ensuring flow of inventory that guarantees optimum stock levels and meets production goalsMaintain database for all purchase orders to ensure they are up to date and provide information for analysis and reportingAssist in implementing process improvements and assisting in planning, organizing, and evaluating supply chain activitiesReview and process claims against suppliersSupply chain management support, including assisting in implementing process improvements and assisting in planning, organizing, and evaluating supply chain activitiesEnter inventory schedules for the following month into the system, monitor progress, and contact clients and suppliers to resolve issuesAssisting in analyzing inventory needs based on sales trends and inventory levelsUpdate the various supply lists on an ongoing basisProvide product, storage, and order information to all internal departments, as requestedAdvise departments of potential procurement issues and lead time required to obtain products or servicesMaintain awareness of internal and external factors impacting supply chain, and assist in making alternate arrangements in the event of storages, overages, or delayed deliveries to minimize impact on the organizationPerform other duties as required or assigned.

What are we looking for?

Applicable post secondary education and/or SCMPMinimum two years’ experience in a Commodity Sourcing or Supply Chain roleExperience working with ERP systems considered an assetRegular office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pmHigh level of attention to detail and strong ability to problem resolutionHave excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills and have the ability to multitask and execute work within deadlines;Exceptional organizational skills, especially when it comes to detailed inventory and materials countsMust be available to travel to other 3rd party warehouse location as requiredAbility to pass a Drug & AlcoholAbility to clear a Criminal Record Check and provide references
