If you are a Materials Clerk looking for an opportunity to grow and develop professionally, Emerson Discrete Automation has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Sandusky, MI, you will carry out clerical duties to support the various operations of the facility.
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Assist in reception /answering the phones / incoming and outgoing mail.
+ Manage a database, retrieves data and conducts status inquiries.
+ Order and maintains office supplies.
+ Order meals for scheduled business events.
+ Maintain filing system as needed.
+ Maintain and stock refreshments for conference/training room and any company sponsored events.
+ Examine documents for quality and accuracy; resolves minor discrepancies.
+ Input transaction data to assist in maintaining inventory.
+ Other clerical/office duties as assigned.
+ Maintain quality service by following organizational standards and departmental processes and procedures.
+ May assist in the Ultriva - Kanban system as needed.
+ Observe established safe working, housekeeping procedures and promptly correct and/or notify supervisor of any hazardous situations.
+ All supplemental duties, responsibilities, or non-essential requirements as assigned.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ High school diploma/GED or 2 years of experience.
+ Basic digital literacy.
+ Ability to be highly organized.
+ Extremely diligent, with good communication skills and customer service, and ability to multitask.
+ While performing duties, may be required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist or lift up to 45 pounds.
+ May be required to work more than 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week based on departmental needs.
+ Ability to perform work duties in office and manufacturing environment.
+ May be exposed to manufacturing plant conditions and elements including but not limited to noise, dust, dirt, oil, and grease.
+ PPE’s may be required including safety glasses, ear plugs and safety shoes in specified areas of the plant.
+ Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
**Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:**
+ Ability to produce a quality part at a productive rate.
+ Work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Extremely reliable and dependable.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, Teamwork.
+ Two years of experience preferred in Material Handling as this position may serve as a back up at times within the Material Handler position.
