You will oversee the effective purchasing of defined work, accurate status reporting, control and expedite in a professional manner in accordance with Strategy. You must have the skills, knowledge, and experience to be able to manage material purchasing needs and multiple suppliers; plus, familiarity with engineering bills of material, documents, control drawings and QA requirements to meet customer needs.
 

As a Materials Buyer, you will be responsible for:
 

Interfacing with production/suppliers to schedule the receipt of raw material to meet production demand, and ensuring the timely execution of MRP signals minimizing/managing potential line downsIssuing purchase orders using sound purchasing practices ensuring applicable company and government regulations are followedIdentifying and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements with clear communication to materials leadership shaping resolution.Developing supplier relationships building supplier delivery and inventory metrics accurate to planMonitoring implementation of corrective action plansMonitoring and control engineering change for cut-over plans, as well as support coordination of supply chain/engineering with the suppliers if necessary.Meeting the requirements of customer on-time delivery through tasks necessary to succeed

To be successful in this role you will:
 

Have bachelor's degree OR a High school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Materials capacityHave the Knowledge/understanding of ERP systems and preferred SAP experienceHave completed an APICS training course, preferredHave the ability to manage multiple tasks, establish effective work priorities, create improvement, have persuasive and resilient natureDemonstrate effective analytical and organizational skillsHave noticeable oral, written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $60,200.00 - $111,600.00.

Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time.
