As Materials Assistant, you are responsible for the replenishment of supplies, linen, and materials and use inventory management system tools to ensure the product is in place promptly. When you join our team, you will be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare. 

A caregiver in this position works days 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Maintains the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationship with vendor representatives, conducts business according to established principles and guidelines.Use iPad/Wavemark to order and stock medical supplies for a variety of nursing unitsMaintain correct par levels, check for expired productsCommunicate with clinical staff in situations of shortages, usage, back orders, sub products, new conversionsReceiving shipments into Oracle or RF Smart.Process UPS/Fedex inbound and outbound shipments.Manage dock operations – interact with different carriers to ensure all trucks are unloaded in a timely mannerMake internal deliveriesTrack INRComplete cycle counts – storeroomComplete daily pick sheets.Manage STAT supply requests for the entire hospital

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

High school diploma or GEDKnowledge of medical supplies.Operate pallet jackLift up to 70 poundsPush/Pull loaded skids of material

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Inventory knowledge.  Basic computer skills.  

Physical Requirements:

Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system to attend meetings.Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.Must have own transportation due to travel to multiple sites.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
