As Materials Assistant, you are responsible for the replenishment of supplies, linen, and materials and use inventory management system tools to ensure the product is in place promptly. **A caregiver in this position works days 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Maintains the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationship with vendor representatives, conducts business according to established principles and guidelines.
+ Use iPad/Wavemark to order and stock medical supplies for a variety of nursing units
+ Maintain correct par levels, check for expired products
+ Communicate with clinical staff in situations of shortages, usage, back orders, sub products, new conversions
+ Receiving shipments into Oracle or RF Smart.
+ Process UPS/Fedex inbound and outbound shipments.
+ Manage dock operations - interact with different carriers to ensure all trucks are unloaded in a timely manner
+ Make internal deliveries
+ Track INR
+ Complete cycle counts - storeroom
+ Complete daily pick sheets.
+ Manage STAT supply requests for the entire hospital
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Knowledge of medical supplies.
+ Operate pallet jack
+ Lift up to 70 pounds
+ Push/Pull loaded skids of material
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Inventory knowledge.
+ Basic computer skills.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
+ May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system to attend meetings.
+ Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
+ Must have own transportation due to travel to multiple sites.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
**Pay Range**
Minimum hourly: $15.25
Maximum hourly: $19.60
