We’re currently seeking two motivated individuals to join our Supply Chain Management Team in the role of Material Program Manager (MPM).
The MPM will be responsible for leading and coordinating all program supply chain activities while serving as the key liaison between program managers, integrated product teams (IPT’s), functional leads and the supply chain organization.
The MPM plays a critical role in the development, coordination and execution of program material strategies that align with program supply chain objectives. You will work closely with engineering, quality and operations teams to develop common, schedule based material requirements planning (MRP) strategies that ensure program success.
This role requires an individual who can exert influence, collaborate effectively across functions and impact both the short and long term goals of the program and IPT Team.

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and support all program related supply chain activities from program initiation through contract closure ensuring alignment with business objectives.Develop and implement program material strategies including risk and opportunity management, bids, forecasts and master production plans (MPP).Drive supply chain execution to achieve cost, schedule and performance commitments, while ensuring compliance with program requirements.Provide clear and timely reporting through program reviews, cost reviews and customer briefings and management meetings.Support proposals, contract negotiations and supplier performance management to strengthen program outcomes.Foster strong collaboration and relations across customers, suppliers and cross functional teams such as program management, engineering, operations and quality.Champion continuous improvement initiatives including process enhancements, digital transformation and compliance with cybersecurity DFARS and EXIM requirements.Conducting communications with suppliers in obtaining data and information as required for the investigation and corrective actionsAssisting the team in other supplier-related actionsQualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experienceExperience with supply chain and related systems, procurement, production control/material planning, receiving, cost estimating, logistics, and/or financeLeading in an IPT environmentExperience with Supplier management and/or Subcontract managementPrior work experience developing & executing Risk/Opportunity plans to meet program goalsQualifications We Prefer:
Work experience in Supply Chain within the Aerospace Defense industryExperience working in a manufacturing/engineering environmentSupply Chain Certification is an assetExperience translating customer terms and conditions into supplier requirements and reviewing statements of work for completeness and conformance to program requirementsExperience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point)Experience interfacing with external customers and all levels of internal organizationExperience with MRP Systems and or tools such as ProductCenter.High degree of financial acumenKnowledge of Canadian Government acquisition laws and regulationsExperience supporting/leading proposal effortsEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experienceELCAN does not use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applications for our positions.
