Material Procurement Support Specialist

**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Material Procurement Support Specialist** to join our onsite team in **Newport News, VA** . This is an **onsite** position.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to** :
+ Review and analyze the prime shipbuilder's (HII-NNS) submittal of the RCOH CDRL deliverable of the Advanced Material Procurement Plan (AMPP) and provide an analysis of its appropriateness for material types and quantity as it relates to the Authorized Work Package (AWP) Item Work Sequence Schedule
+ Monitor prime shipbuilder (HII-NNS) material procurement for timely ordering, material quantity validation, and budget analyses. Provide appropriate metrics and reports
+ Provide support in evaluating procurement processes and supply chain efficiencies and recommend alternate material sources in conjunction with the Integrated Process teams
+ Provide support for the review and analysis of the shipbuilder’s parts catalog for Naval Stock Systems equivalents
+ Assist in the review of shipbuilder provided data for periodic RCOH advanced planning technical instruction reconciliations and provide analysis and recommendations
+ Provide support working in conjunction with technical functional area planners for the review and evaluation of work package/Cost Data Sheet Bill of Materials
+ Less than 10% travel required
**Minimum Qualifications** :
+ High School Diploma or equivalent education
+ 10+ years of experience in logistics management, supply chain management, or material procurement
+ Relevant experience within Navy supply chain operations and/or ship repair supply chain management may be considered in lieu of the full 10 years of general logistics or procurement experience
+ Some demonstrated experience with Navy supply chain and/or ship repair supply chain management is required
**Preferred Qualifications** :
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
+ Project/Program Management experience
+ Former US Navy Chief Petty Officer, Chief Warrant Officer, or Limited Duty Officer
**Clearance Requirements** :
+ Must be a US Citizen and possess an interim or active DoD Secret Clearance.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
+ Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
