Job Title: Material Prep Technician

Job Description

A Material Prep Technician is responsible for preparing, handling, and organizing raw materials and components for the manufacturing process. They ensure that materials are available in the right quantities and specifications, maintaining a smooth flow of production operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and handle raw materials and components required for manufacturing.Organize materials to ensure a smooth flow of production operations.Maintain the availability of materials in correct quantities and specifications.Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively in the assembly process.

Essential Skills

Experience in material handling and production.Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.Ability to perform general labor tasks efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 70 pounds.Stamina and physical fitness to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.

Work Environment

Work in a warehouse environment that is not temperature-controlled. The facility includes large fans with plans for more installations. Be prepared for occasional outdoor work and conditions that include shop noise, dust, fumes, and heat. The role involves kneeling, stooping, bending, and handling heavy loads.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baxley, Ga.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
