Material Planner- Buyer
The Material Planner - Buyer is responsible for coordinating inventory management, ensuring SCM master data setup, handling product life cycle management, communicating with suppliers within ERP software, performing forecasting, order placement, risk mitigation, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives, and resolving moderate procurement issues. The role communicates forecasts to suppliers, validates them, and ensures alignment between material planning and production planning through S&OP meetings. The role places orders with suppliers and monitors delivery time, quality, and price, while also managing open orders and expediting when necessary. The role generates purchase orders, resolves moderate issues, monitors consignment stock at suppliers, conducts regular stock takes and tracks materials provided to vendors. **Your role:** **Inventory Management & Analysis** + Conduct inventory analysis and implement buy-item stock and replenishment policies. + Manage supply chain master data setup and maintenance within ERP systems. + Monitor item changes and implement supplier-managed and owned inventories. + Execute simulations for optimal safety stocks and lot-sizing procedures, considering seasonal and trend patterns. **Process Optimization & Transformation** + Implement inventory strategies and update procurement master data settings. + Drive digitization and process automation initiatives. + Identify and leverage stock optimization opportunities based on material characteristics and trends. + Lead transformation and continuous process improvement projects. **Order & Supplier Management** + Generate and monitor Purchase Orders, ensuring delivery time, quality, and price compliance. + Resolve moderate Purchase Order issues and consolidate orders for efficiency. + Communicate forecasts to suppliers, validate plans, and ensure alignment between material and production planning. + Monitor consignment stock at suppliers and conduct regular stock audits. + Lifecycle & Change Management + Support product development lifecycle milestones, ensuring accurate replenishment-related master data. + Participate in packaging instruction creation and shelf-life master data determination. + Manage change processes including PIPO planning during industrialization phases. **Performance Monitoring** + Analyze Order Management Module (OMM) KPIs and propose corrective/preventive actions. + Monitor supplier performance strategically and implement improvement plans. + Ensure smooth production ramp-up by managing stock levels and master data settings. **You're the right fit if you have :** + **Education** : Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. + **Experience** : 8-12 years of relevant experience in supply chain operations. + **Technical Expertise** : + Proficiency in ERP systems and MRP tools. + Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. + Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities effectively. **Core Competencies** + Purchase Order Management and Vendor Coordination. + Inventory Planning and Safety Stock Optimization. + Clear-to-Build (CTB) Execution. + Change Management, including PIPO Planning. + Supplier Relationship Management. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Hands-on experience with Electro-Mechanical and Mechanical components. + Familiarity with O9 Planning Tool (preferred). **Additional Expertise** + **Digitization** and **Process Automation** for operational efficiency. + Advanced **Inventory Management** strategies. + Driving **Transformation** initiatives and **Process Improvement** . + Strategic **Supplier Performance Management** . **How we work together** We believe that we are better together than apart.
