Job Title: Materials Planner
Job Description
The role of the Materials Planner is to ensure that components and systems are available per order requirements. The main missions of the role involve analyzing and managing orders to support timely delivery and production.
Responsibilities
Analyze orders in SAP for purchased components and systems.Generate purchase requisitions in SAP and negotiate lead times to ensure components and systems are available when required for shipping or fabrication.Navigate SAP to run reports and monitor orders to ensure timely delivery of components.Monitor the status of orders and inform management and internal members of changes or updates when scheduling component delivery dates do not support customer timelines.Work with material suppliers to drive resolutions when issues related to delivery or quality appear.Follow up on all open orders, ensuring that the proper parts are being produced and delivered on time to the shop.Assist the Buyer in developing and maintaining stock levels for high consumption components.Anticipate and provide input on potential issues with long lead times with critical components and critical suppliers.Essential Skills
Experience in material planning, at least 1+ years.Proficiency in SAP.Strong Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas.Comfortable with calling suppliers to discuss lead times or order updates, rather than relying on email.Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with the opportunity to work one day from home. Must be able to travel to Columbus, IN.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
