We boldly go. **Job Summary:** + The Material Handler will distribute either production or non-production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods. **Responsibilities:** + Move materials with equipment to support production processes. + Create kits of materials to align with upcoming build schedules. + Remove and dispose of non-production materials such as cardboard, dunnage, scrap, trash, and pallets. + Track material movements into and out of controlled locations + Complete basic computer transactions to transact movement of materials + Maintains the required paperwork and documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures + Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner + Cycle Count materials + Organize materials for an orderly work environment + Moves parts or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations + Operates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and rolling carts and or move items by WAVs cart and utility vehicles to and from warehouse + Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area + Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives + Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements + Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement + Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned + Provide guidance while ensuring a safe and productive work environment + Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory + Responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by receiving and transporting components to the manufacturing floor in accordance with predetermined safety, quality, method, and sequence standards **Qualifications:** + Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude + Actively practices and promotes safety + Willingness to change, flex and learn + Self-motivated + Standard Work Adherence + Customer Focused + Critical Thinking + Mechanical Aptitude + Demonstrated leadership experience. + Strong customer service skills. + Excellent planning and organizational skills. + Proven ability to follow through on commitments and details. + Current forklift certification and or able to achieve within 30 days of hire + Previous experience with material handling equipment + Basic computer skills and basic math + Experience in warehouse or Manufacturing environment preferred + Committed to continuous improvement in products, services, and processes We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
