Job Description:
Setup, operate and continually load/unload various machines associated with fastener parts cleaning, degreasing, heat-treating and other treatment operations. Perform general departmental maintenance including machine cleaning, preventative maintenance, quality checks, documentation and inventory.
Responsibilities:
Ensure parts move into and out of equipment and throughout the department efficiently and on schedule.Prevent mixing of parts or identification cards at all times.Use powered lift trucks and manual handling methods to move materials within the department, following strict safety protocols.Load and unload trays of rivets from the rivet-cleaning machines, and properly maintain both the cleaning units and oven equipment.Conduct Quality Control tests on heat-treated parts, accurately document the results, and enter data into the computer system.Precisely weigh and log daily rivet output.Carry out general departmental upkeep, including machine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and inventory of raw materials and parts. Maintain a safe, organized work area for yourself and others entering the department.Education: High School
Experience: 12 months
Mechanical ability with regard to making adjustments to machinery to achieve maximum operating efficiency.Experience operating and/or maintaining machinery in a manufacturing settingPhysical:
Ability to perform physically demanding work including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height.Industry: Manufacturing
