Material Handler Level 1 Job DescriptionDuties Perform physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices. Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items. Lift heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped. Post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment. Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Prepare kitting packages for assembly production. Interact daily with peers and internal customers to exchange or present factual information. Work on routine assignments requiring limited judgment. Receive predetermined assignments subject to moderate control and review. Normally receive detailed instructions on all work. Work under close supervision.Skills No previous related experience required. Acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.Education High school diploma or GED required.Languages English: Read, Write, SpeakAdditional Information Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
