Material Handler II - Poway - 1st Shift
**Material Handler II - Receiving Clerk - Poway - 1st Shift - $20/hr-$22/hr** **Job Description** The Material Handler II Receiving Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse functions, with a focus on receiving. This role involves receiving materials within the system, ensuring all required documentation is present and accurate, and communicating any issues with missed shipments internally to keep customers informed. **Responsibilities** + Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace, reporting Near Misses, and wearing all required PPE. + Execute the receiving process, accurately labeling inbound material for stocking purposes and putting away materials from receiving (SUT & material transfers). + Compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipments. + Inspect the contents of deliveries to ensure they are undamaged and create UPC labels to re-box products in damaged boxes. + Interface with tracking websites to download required paperwork for receiving parts and components. + Input received parts into the SAP system properly and maintain proper documentation for accounts payable. + Route inbound material to appropriate departments (Parts Cage, Quality, BTC). + Perform and sustain a high level of productivity in primary areas of focus (Picking, put away, small parcel, etc.). + Accurately pick material utilizing handheld scanners and delivery notes. + Pack truck and parcel orders by inserting the proper material and quantities into containers and sealing them appropriately for shipment, including using Mobisys software to scan handling units (HU). + Examine and create shipment numbers, BOLs, packing slips, and tracking numbers. + Complete cycle counting accurately. + Execute bin-to-bin transfers. + Load and unload inbound/outbound trucks. + Utilize proper equipment to move merchandise throughout the facility, following proper certifications. + Exhibit integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities and maintain accountability for performance. + Ensure compliance and safety of all activities within organizational standards and policies. + Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 1 – 2 years of warehouse experience. + Forklift certification required. + Certification in both Narrow Aisle and Counterbalance Lifts required. + Working knowledge of UPS World Ship and FedEx Power Ship. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Fluent in English (both oral and written). + Proficient computer skills, including typing, word processing, and printing. + Ability to navigate and utilize necessary software tools such as SAP. Working knowledge of SAP and basic functions in the WM module preferred. + Highly organized with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills. + Demonstrated successful employment track record, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to maintain a safe working environment. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a long-term growth opportunity in a family-oriented work environment that values both personal and professional development. **Work Environment** The position is based in a manufacturing environment in Poway, where safety and adherence to standards are prioritized.
