Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the packaging, provides all departments with materials needed for their daily operation.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Gathers and distributes materials from inventory to various departments.Picks parts for production orders.Picks material for stock requisitions generated by Sales Department and other departments.Operating forklift and other handling equipmentReceived completed material into inventory and safely stores in appropriate location.Enters inventory transactions into computer. Prints assorted inventory documents and labels. Uses computer to inquire about part status and history.Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.Contributes to success of team by submitting ideas, identifying potential problems, providing feedback on procedure changes, and by displaying a positive, cooperative attitude in working with others;.Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED1 to 3 months related experienceForklift operating experienceAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Knowledge of Inventory software.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
