Material Handler Forklift
**Material Handler – Forklift Operator** **About the Role** We’re seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our team in a fast-paced, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring smooth material flow throughout the facility by operating forklifts, managing inventory, and supporting production teams. **What You’ll Do** + Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move materials throughout the facility + Use RF scan gun to track and manage inventory accurately + Load and unload trailers efficiently and inspect inbound/outbound products for quality and accuracy + Assist machine operators by delivering raw materials and removing finished goods + Act as a team lead for material handling activities (no direct management responsibilities) + Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols **What We’re Looking For** + High School Diploma or GED + Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience + At least 1 year of forklift operation experience + Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment **Why You’ll Love It** + Competitive benefits package including 401(k), health, dental, and vision coverage + Paid holidays and company-sponsored outings + Work in a clean, climate-controlled facility + Dress Code: Steel-toed boots, jeans/khakis, and t-shirt (PPE provided) **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iowa City, IA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
