Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for warehouse and assembly operations using a Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) to move goods and materials anywhere at the Vidalia, GA location.
Responsibilities:
Moves goods and material within a production environment using a Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV)Loading, unloading, or moving goods and material from one location to another with a forklift or other PIVOperates warehouse computer software with moderate expertiseObserve equipment operation in order to detect malfunctionsSupport plant cost reductions and process improvement projects through the use of various lean methods and techniquesAssist in process improvement efforts by working with the Process Engineers to identify, implement and validate process changesParticipate in lean manufacturing as well as plant initiatives as neededAbility to utilize a variety of PIV equipmentQualifications and Requirements:
Must have a valid Forklift/Tugger License5+ years’ experience in warehouseMust have Ultriva experienceAbility to speak, read and write English, understand simple written or oral instructionsAbility to work in a team environment with limited supervisionWork any shift and work overtime as necessary to ensure production demands are realizedWork multiple jobs both within and outside assigned work areaUse all required safety gear and equipmentComply with all established Plant rules and policiesMaintain an acceptable attendance record. Perform tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, with good hand dexterity (gripping and pinching repetitively) for more than 2/3’s of work shiftLift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally. Lifting or carrying objects over 50 pounds requires a two person lift, or a lift assistBend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitivelyReach overhead repetitively for more than 2/3’s of work shiftStand continuously for 8 to 10 hours per dayClimb up and down stairs up to 3 hours per dayUse of senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditionsModerate physical exertionVisual Acuity:
