AUBURN HILLS, MI - Material Handler - 1st Shift (Work 4 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday)
Bluebird Turf, a division of Metalcraft of Mayville, specializes in personal lawn care equipment. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the material handler will handle shipping and receiving duties along with supplying our assembly build lines with materials.
Responsibilities
Following FIFO instructions on all productsLoads, unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by handConveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using forklift, hand truck, electric dolly or other deviceWill operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and productsRequired to fill out a daily inspection before starting up the forkliftAssists with routine or general housekeeping tasks as they relate to the plants 6s planEnsure compliance with corporate and plant safety standardsUse of ERP computer system (SAP) for processing of materialsOther duties as assigned. Qualifications Sharp attention to detailsAbility to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments.Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-task.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats Job Expectations
