**Job Description** We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler Lead, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and conveying materials within or near our plant, yard, or work site. You will perform a combination of tasks under specific direction, which may include shipping and/or receiving. **Key Responsibilities:** + Load, unload, and convey materials within or near plant, yard, or work site + Perform a combination of tasks under specific direction, which may include shipping and/or receiving + Open containers using hand tools + Count, weigh, and sample materials + Use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying, and recording information + Load and unload materials onto or from:PalletsTraysMulti-level racksTrucks by hand + Convey materials using:Hand truckForkliftElectric dollyOther devices + Stack or assemble materials + Build and prepare crates for shipping, ensuring proper packaging and protection of materials + Read and interpret drawings and schematics to ensure accurate handling and storage of materials + Handle hazardous materials shipments, adhering to 49 CFR and IATA regulations, including:Proper labeling and packaging of hazardous materialsCompletion of required documentation, such as shipping papers and certificates of analysisEnsuring compliance with regulatory requirements for transportation and storage of hazardous materials **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred. + Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a material handling or logistics role, preferably in a defense or manufacturing environment. + Experience with inventory management, warehouse operations, and shipping/receiving processes. + Familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks). + Knowledge of inventory management software and warehouse management systems. + Ability to read and understand technical documents, such as material safety data sheets (MSDS) and shipping labels. + Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. + Physical ability to lift, push, and pull materials and equipment. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience ERP systems such as Deltek CostPoint + Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology. + Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)). + -2 year degree-Previous US Government property accountability management experience-Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and written **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $45249 - $72399 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
