Material Handler
General Purpose
Receive, count, move, and stage materials for production jobs based on job tickets and schedules in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Track material usage in both hard copy and electronic systems and participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventory activities.
Essential Job Functions
• Work closely with all departments to ensure materials are received and delivered accurately and on time
• Follow all standard operating procedures, work instructions, and current GMPs
• Operate forklifts safely and properly
• Open, prepare, and stage material loads for production
• Communicate effectively with machine operators and team members
• Follow all safety rules and procedures
• Assist with timely and accurate cycle counts
• Participate in the annual physical inventory process
• Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies
• Deliver materials to assigned jobs per job tickets and production schedules
• Manage time effectively to meet operational needs
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Ability to pass in-house forklift training
• Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, and database use
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance guidelines, and technical policies
• Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Reliable attendance and dependability
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
