**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** Join our team as a Material Handler, where you will be responsible for reconditioning heat exchange plates by removing old rubber gaskets, cleaning, testing, and preparing them for shipment. This role offers you the opportunity to contribute to a small, supportive team in a laid-back manufacturing environment. **Responsibilities** + Recondition heat exchange plates by removing old rubber gaskets. + Power wash and clean the plates. + Test plates for cracks or holes using specialized materials and black light. + Wash and dry plates after testing. + Glue new gaskets onto the plates. + Transfer plates into an oven for gasket adhesion. + Cool the plates and prepare them for shipment. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of manufacturing or production experience. + Strong attention to detail. + Ability to work effectively in a team. + Capability to lift up to 50 pounds. + Self-motivated with a proactive work ethic. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with general labor, packing, and material handling. + Familiarity with hand tools and assembly processes. + Forklift operation skills. + Basic cleaning and maintenance skills. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a small team environment that values advancement opportunities and offers a relaxed atmosphere as long as production targets are met. This is a first-shift opportunity, running from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The dress code requires steel-toed boots and jeans, with safety glasses and gloves provided. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ankeny, IA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
