Position Summary:

The Material Handler will support welders and fabricators by ensuring timely delivery, staging, and organization of stainless steel piping materials, fittings, and components. This role is critical to maintaining efficient production flow, minimizing downtime, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Principle Responsibilities:

Safely transport raw materials, stainless steel pipes, and components to designated workstations.Stage and organize materials for welders and fabricators according to production schedules.Maintain accurate inventory of materials, including receiving, counting, and reporting discrepancies.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes in compliance with safety policy.Assist in cutting, prepping, and cleaning stainless steel materials as required.Ensure proper handling and storage of parts to prevent contamination or damage.Support lean manufacturing initiatives by maintaining 5S standards in material storage areas.Communicate effectively with production teams to anticipate material needs and avoid delays.Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage and safe material handling practices.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent required.3-5 years in manufacturing or warehousing environment with a minimum 1–2 years of experience in material handling.Experience working with stainless steel or metal fabrication is a plus.Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred).Basic understanding of welding and fabrication processes desirable.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to read and interpret work orders and material lists.Work with a sense of urgency to support throughput while never compromising on safety
