Job Title: Material HandlerJob Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently loading, unloading, and relocating materials within a warehouse and manufacturing environment. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to operate various material handling equipment safely and accurately.

ResponsibilitiesLoad and offload pallets and parts using manual/powered pallet jacks and other equipment.Operate forklifts safely following relevant safety and compliance standards.Maintain inventory organization and cycle count by location, count, and status.Transact materials in ERP system to match physical movement of parts.Accurately pick, count, label, and transact parts for production operations.Expedite materials and transactions to support manufacturing operations.Deliver in-process inventory to point-of-use work stations.Verify and receive materials via purchase orders in the ERP system.Utilize reel counters and scales for accurate inventory counting.Store and organize parts based on material handling guidance.Enter cycle counts in ERP system and verify inventory computations.Process inventory adjustments following approval hierarchy.Follow specifications for orientation of parts in trays and on tape and reel.Maintain safety and 5S workplace organization standards.Essential Skills1 year of relevant experience with inventory or warehouse work.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.Proficiency in English communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong detail orientation and excellent organization skills.Experience handling fragile materials, particularly electronic components.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work flexible schedules is highly preferred.Experience using manual and/or powered pallet jacks.High School diploma, GED, or equivalency.Ability to work closely with others and possess good communication skills.Be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic business environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a large facility with multiple departments within the production floor. It is organized, clean, and quiet, though employees may occasionally be exposed to dust, solder, metals, and high noise levels. The culture fosters teamwork with cross-training opportunities and a positive team attitude. The team consists of 50 members, and the dress code includes wearing a smock, shoe covers, ear plugs, and goggles. The shift is from Monday to Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM, with occasional overtime and flexible hours during busy periods.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
