**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** The Material Handler is essential in supporting the processing and shipment of goods by efficiently picking, storing, stocking, and restocking materials and supplies. This role requires precision in performing responsibilities, completing paperwork, and making computer data entries associated with production processes. The position operates on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm. **Responsibilities** + Work efficiently while picking and restocking materials. + Ensure stock tags and material identifications are correct. + Perform daily cycle counts. + Prepare and pack items for shipments according to customer specifications and delivery dates. + Load and unload material from delivery trucks. + Measure materials upon arrival and check the gauge using a micrometer. + Enter data into the computer system and generate tags for materials. + Pull and stage materials according to the bill-of-lading. + Perform dock audits to ensure correct material shipment. + Obtain proof of identity from carriers and signatures on the bill-of-lading. + Drive fork truck through the plant safely to move materials. + Operate the over-head crane to move materials safely. + Meet all customer expectations. + Adhere to safety rules, regulations, and quality standards. + Follow all company handbook policies and procedures. **Essential Skills** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Basic computer skills. + Good written and oral communication skills. + Good organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. + Ability to measure using different tools. + Ability to read and calculate numbers and data. + Ability to work independently and accept direction. + High integrity and positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers. + Strong work ethic and self-motivation. + Forklift experience and ability to move heavy loads. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + One or more years of warehouse experience. + Fork truck experience. + Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. + Understanding of tape measure, basic math, inventory control, pick/pack, receiving, and shipping. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values integrity and a strong work ethic. It requires frequent visual and auditory attention and involves continuous computer use for receiving and providing information.
