Job Posting – Material Handler

As a Material Handler, you will work with a team to organize materials and move them within the facility. In this role you’ll need to pay attention to detail to ensure the correct part and number of that parts are delivered to the production lines help maintain inventory accuracy.  If you are self-driven and looking for a fast pace position that utilizes power industrial equipment, then this is the role for you. 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:   

Operate powered forklift trucks, hoists, handcarts, and other material handling equipment to maintain workflow and the organization of materialUse production paperwork to locate, deliver and place materials in a warehouse environmentMaintain equipment in good operating order, follows power industrial equipment guidelines and completes start-of-shift inspection checklistPerform low amount of troubleshooting and adjustment to complete assigned tasksUnderstand and participates in continuous improvement activitiesPerform housekeeping to keep the department clean, safe, and well organizedIdentify problems or potential safety hazards and recommends resolutions

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: 

High school diploma, GED, or 6 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience6 months related experience as a Material HandlerDemonstrated skills necessary to perform the duties of the positionCompetent in the operation of a fork truckPossess a valid driver’s licensePrevious experience in Warehouse Management preferred

REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL & BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:   

Ability to prioritize and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.Ability to evaluate and prioritize requests.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Routinely lifts up to 40 pounds individuallyWorks in multiple positions during a shiftAbility to stand for 8 hour shift

Pay for this position is $19/hr
