The Material Handler role utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks, trailers, vans, trains or within the storage facility. The Material Handler loads and unloads material, counts, receives, stores, ships, and replenishes inventory goods associated with the warehouse. The Material Handler works under close direction of senior personnel in the Asset & Inventory function and utilizes pre-established procedures to perform the functions of the job.
Experience & Education
REQUIRED
• 2-5+ years of experience working in a warehouse setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED
• Certification training for forklift truck operations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
REQUIRED
• Knowledge of commonly used practices, and procedures within warehouse management
• Ability to collaborate with others and have good team-building skills
• Ability to work in a warehouse and use warehousing equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, wrapping machines, etc.
• Positive attitude, with a high degree of self-discipline and self-motivation
• Capable of using own initiative and working at times unsupervised
• Proficient typing and general computer skills
• Basic written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure with little supervision
• Perform transactions in ERP system (JDE, One C, etc.)
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
