Material Handler
**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** This role involves pulling orders in the basement of hospitals, ensuring supplies are delivered to healthcare professionals. You will manage inventory, keeping the warehouse stocked with essential medical supplies such as gloves, needles, surgical items, and personal protective equipment. You will also deliver products to various hospital departments, including the ER and surgical offices. Occasionally, you may assist in assembling parts. Materials will be organized on racks, shelves, or in refrigerated rooms based on size, type, style, color, or product code. **Responsibilities** + Pull orders in the hospital basement to supply doctors, nurses, and technicians. + Stock and replenish the warehouse with necessary medical supplies. + Deliver medical supplies to designated hospital areas such as ER and surgical rooms. + Organize materials on racks, shelves, bins, or refrigerated rooms based on predetermined sequences. + Assist in assembling parts as needed. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in order pulling and inventory management. + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift. + Capability to be on your feet for an entire 8-hour shift. + Competence in reading and writing in English. + Comfortable using a computer for data entry through EPIC. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working in a team environment with 20+ employees. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy benefits such as free bus passes, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, along with a 401k and annual bonuses. The role requires wearing a scrub top and appropriate PPE, with shifts from Tuesday to Saturday (6 am-2:30 pm), including training for the first two weeks on a Monday-Friday schedule. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
