**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated material handlers to perform onsite duties, including receiving deliveries, unpacking skids, and organizing and transporting materials. Primary responsibilities involve safely moving fragile and heavy glass doors weighing between 100-400 pounds. For oversized loads, heavy equipment will be used to unload the glass doors from skids and position them for installation. A team of four will assist in maneuvering heavier doors. Additional tasks include lifting materials off trucks, organizing, and itemizing items. This role involves heavy lifting and material movement 90% of the time, focusing on shipping and receiving site-required doors and materials. **Responsibilities** + Safely move and handle fragile glass doors weighing 100-400 pounds. + Use heavy equipment to unload and position oversized glass doors. + Collaborate with a team to maneuver heavier doors. + Lift materials off trucks and organize items. + Itemize and transport materials as needed. **Essential Skills** + Forklift operation + Experience with shipping and receiving + Material handling + Experience working on a construction site + Ability to lift 70-100lbs alone, consistently and carefully + Works well with others and flexibility with tasks **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience dispatching/loading/unloading glass or glass doors + Forklift certification + Afternoon shift availability: noon - 8:30 pm **Why Work Here?** This is an opportunity to be part of building the largest hospital in BC, a statement building in Vancouver.
