Job Description

A Material Handler is responsible for accurately counting and verifying the identity and quantity of all materials processed. This role ensures that materials are stored in the correct locations and maintains inventory accuracy. When needed, the Material Handler assists in various inventory control processes.

ResponsibilitiesMove raw material parts in and out of the system.Count and verify the identity and quantity of all materials pulled with high accuracy.Ensure materials are stored in the correct locations.Perform cycle counts of parts in selected locations to maintain inventory accuracy.Notify Group Leader of any part shortages or damages.Perform basic data entry using the MRP computer system.Operate weigh scales, hydraulic pallet jacks, and drive forklifts.Inspect materials and completed work for correctness and quality.Ensure proper material component identification.Determine necessary corrective measures to make the product acceptable.Complete daily records, forms, and charts of quality and work performed.Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times.Complete daily area clean-up at the end of the shift.Participate in cross-training activities with other related positions and substitute at any assembly work station within the department.Return all equipment, materials, and supplies to their designated places when not in use.Essential SkillsMinimum 1 year of Material Handling experienceFamiliarity with inventory accuracy and control methodsKnowledge of material handling and inventory control processes and methodsStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasksRF Scanner experience preferredPallet jack experienceWhy Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr.
