Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Material Handler
Job Description

The Forklift Operator role is essential for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our production area. This position involves precise handling and movement of products with forklift trucks and other material handling equipment. The operator will be responsible for loading, unloading, transporting, and storing goods within our warehouse.

ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload shipments of products.Accurately select flooring product orders, palletize, and shrink-wrap each order, ensuring secure handling of the heavy material.Transport products to and from trucks into warehouse and staging areas.Store products in proper places in shelving areas.Deliver products in a safe and timely manner.Sort, pack, wrap, tie, and label products as per company procedures.Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.Regularly clean work area and equipment by removing empty pallets, wood, and plastic.Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure a safe and positive working atmosphere.Perform routine pre and post inspections and recommend repairs.Study production schedule to determine material requirements, movements, and deliveries.Identify and report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to the Supervisor immediately.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsForklift operation and material handling experience.Proficiency with RF scanner and order picking.Experience with sit down and stand up forklifts.Ability to lift 50+ lbs.Punctuality and reliability.At least 1+ year of relevant experience.Work Environment

This position is located in a large food production warehouse with production lines for salad dressing, mustard, and other products. The environment is fast-paced and requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Candidates must wash hands before working, wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hair nets and beard nets, and follow GMP guidelines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
