POSITION SUMMARY:
Plans, organizes, and develops training curriculum, materials, and programs to meet training needs. Conducts and facilitates training programs and workshops. Works with management and subject matter experts to ensure course materials are current, technically accurate, and aligned with evolving industry requirements. Analyzes learner needs, plans and coordinates skill assessments and training. Uses training program satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and learner job performance data to enhance training programs.
This role requires technical expertise in mechanical systems, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and a strong understanding of emerging vehicle technologies and integration trends. The ideal candidate will be a recognized expert in their field. They must also be well-versed in all modes of inspection processes, including in-person, virtual, and photo-based inspections.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with business leaders and subject matter experts to conduct needs analysis and develop learning objectives, content outlines, presentation methods, appropriate job aids, and technology integration.Designs and develops training programs and curricula using instructional design methodologies, with a focus on material damage, mechanical systems, ADAS technologies, and forward-looking vehicle design and repair trends.Creates facilitator guides and performance support tools that align with real-world applications and best practices in material damage evaluation.Facilitates technical and non-technical training programs using effective adult learning strategies.Ensures training content reflects the latest industry advancements, including OEM procedures, calibration processes, diagnostic protocols, and inspection tools.Helps establish meaningful training effectiveness measurement criteria tied to job performance and learner growth.Collaborates on process improvement initiatives related to claims handling, vehicle technology, and repair operations.Identifies and addresses issues in current training content to improve learning outcomes providing consistency and accuracy for all staff members.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of auto claims adjusting experience handling coverage, liability, injury, and complex auto damage claims.Direct experience in vehicle repair environments or conducting field auto damage appraisals is required to ensure technical credibility in training delivery.Experience leading teams or managing direct reports is preferred.Deep technical understanding of mechanical vehicle systems and ADAS functionality, with the ability to train others on calibration procedures, diagnostic workflows, and repair implications.Ability to collaborate effectively with field leaders, DPI, operations, vendors, and claims leadership to align training with organizational strategy.Strong familiarity with all inspection methods—including in-person assessments, virtual tools, and photo-based estimating platforms.Awareness of future trends in vehicle integration, electrification, and OEM repair protocols to ensure training remains ahead of industry changes.Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical topics into digestible learning content.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Superior professionalism and presentation skills.Prior experience in training, mentoring, or leadership is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methods, and virtual facilitation best practices.Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time, projects, and priorities effectively.Proficient in multimedia training tools and Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams), including virtual training platforms.This is an in-office jobThe range for this position is $28.80 to $47.93 hour.
