Material Coordinator

As a Material Coordinator, you will work with task leads and within a team to meet material requirements in support of multiple projects and customers operating simultaneously.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Conducting market research of part information to include pricing and lead times
+ Submitting purchase requests
+ Researching status of open orders
+ Working with vendors and receiving team to reconcile orders and resolve discrepancies
+ Providing procurement updates to project managers and government customers
The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $29.27/hr.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
High school diploma
Intermediate/advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent customer service skills and written and verbal communication skills
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
Experience with Master Parts List (MPL), Master Equipment List (MEL), and Bill of Materials (BOM)
**Pay Information**
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
