Wood is currently recruiting for a Material Coordinator to join in Rumaila Oilfield Concession near Basra, Iraq. This is a full-time onsite position in Basra, Iraq with travel requirement.

This project is to focus more resources towards improving maintenance and reliability on the oil, gas and water systems, required to efficiently support maintenance, turnarounds and engineering organizations with the appropriate qualifications and experience.
What we can offer Meaningful and interesting projects delivered to high profile clients and complex projects in Iraq Commitment to diversity and inclusion; we are an organisation actively committed to diversity and inclusion across our business with employee networks committed to giving all employees a voice Competitive salary with regular salary reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the market Medical insurance: ensures inpatient and outpatient medical care is available should you require treatment Commitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests Global connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Role synopsis Coordinate supply, tracking, transfer, and management of materials between warehouse and field facilities with various functions/disciplines such as maintenance, TAR (turnarounds), and projects Key responsibilities Perform and ensure spares cataloguing is completed Assist in setting inventory requirements (e.g. min/max) based on maintenance and operational requirements Evaluate MTO (material take off) from engineering and operations to ensure all information is aligned and captured for effective delivery of materials to field maintenance and projects Familiar with operation material specifications; capable of raising queries to avoid any discrepancies Check materials availability considering all department stocks prior to raising any request for procurement/purchasing Investigate and propose material alternatives as required Prepare material request for job execution and follow up on Material Issue Ticket (MIT) execution Issue direct requisition and report on procurement activities related to specific scope of works Coordinate technical evaluation (with technical people support) of vendor offers Follow up on unused material to be returned to stores Support local order deliveries to stores, assessing certification and availability prior to allowing vendor to access supply base QualificationsWhat makes you remarkable?

Expected Fluent in English Proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word) Good capability with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), preferably Maximo Preferably a diploma or degree in supply chain, logistics, data analysis, etc. Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in material coordination Previous experience working within oil and gas desirable Other requirements A passion and relentless drive for continuous improvement Strong use of IT systems to analyse data, and produce reports and KPIs etc. Strong interpersonal skills with experience influencing operating teams and contractors Strong cultural awareness Able to prioritise work in a high activity environment Able to work within a multidisciplinary team Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision Strong bias for being proactive and getting results Demonstrate planning, organizational and communication skills About the CompanyWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
