Leidos’ Defense Systems Manufacturing is seeking a talented **Material Control Manager** to join our Platform Integration team located in Huntsville, AL. The Material Control Manager will lead our Materials Control team in delivering exceptional results at one of our key final integration sites. The Material Control Manager will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing the movement of material from receipt the warehouse to production. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.

**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Developing raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules as well as planning and managing material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
+ Provides measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement organizational strategies.
+ Provide input and manage certain processes or projects within a defined budget.
+ Communicates with parties within and outside of own project, which may include internal and external constituents depending upon the area.
+ Requires ability to influence others outside of own project area on policies, practices, and procedures.
+ Manages a small to mid-sized team consisting of experienced personnel.
+ Leads, directs, and reviews the work of team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
+ Provides primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions for direct reports.
+ Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within one area.
+ Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline with at least 5 years ofrelevant experience in managing or supporting manufacturing projects or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Previous experience supporting manufacturing programs with receiving, stocking, issuing, and shipping material in support of a program IMS.
+ Demonstrated experience supplying material and hardware to multiple programs and managing material control personal to ensuring parts and material support manufacturing demand dates
+ Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
+ Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Three or more years of previous management of a manufacturing project or program.
+ Experience with fast-paced production schedules.
+ PMI/PMP Certification.
+ Production Control, Master Scheduling, and Inventory Accuracy.
+ Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint, Agile, Stockroom Transactions, MRP, EBOM, and MBOM
+ Previous experience on manufacturing programs/projects that include Welding, Fabrication, Assembly, Integration, and Final Acceptance Testing.

**Pay Range:**
Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00
