BAE SMS seeks a detail-oriented material professional to provide critical data entry support to the Bill of Materials (BOM) Pricing Team in response to Customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs). This role focuses on data entry, uploading supplier quotations, and coordination activities related to supplier quotes and BOM forecasting.
The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with large datasets, and able to handle repetitive administrative tasks with accuracy and timeliness. This position offers an opportunity to build foundational supply chain knowledge and grow within the material proposal process.
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
The Integrated Supply Chain team has a direct impact on program success, acting as a critical chain that links the end-to-end material flow together. Our organization helps propel us forward and achieve true mission partnership.
**What You ll Do:**
+ Quote Management & Entry
+ Request, receive, and track supplier quotes as directed by Proposal Coordinators.
+ Enter supplier quotes into BAE SMS pricing software and ERP system with precision and timeliness.
+ Maintain quote status trackers and ensure accurate updates are visible to the proposal team.
+ Data & Document Handling
+ Manage Excel spreadsheets and trackers related to quoting activity.
+ Format documents and reports to align with proposal submission standards.
+ Upload and organize supplier documentation, quotes, and supporting files.
+ Format and upload Bill of Materials to our Material Forecasting tool.
+ Team & Process Support
+ Provide administrative support during proposal kickoff through submittal.
+ Support Category Specialists by assisting in quote entry and data formatting.
+ Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to support the proposal process.
+ Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
+ Perform other duties as necessary.
**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 years or more related experience.
+ Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor s or Master s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
+ Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
+ Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and document formatting.
+ Ability to manage multiple deadlines with efficiency.
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills.
+ Team-oriented mindset.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s degree preferred.
+ Adobe Acrobat proficiency a plus.
+ Prior experience in supply chain or procurement.
+ Experience with ERP systems.
+ Interest in growing toward proposal coordination, procurement, or supply chain roles.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $41024 - $65639
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
