We offer you the chance to contribute to innovative research projects focused on mass spectrometry (MS)-based biomarker identification and quantification. **Apply now for an internship & Master's thesis in Biberach!** **You will gain an insight into the following topics and tasks** + Comparative performance evaluation of triple quadrupole (QQQ) and Orbitrap MS systems for biomarker quantification in complex biological matrices. + Development of separation techniques for the analysis of biomarkers using supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC). + Exploration of methods to assess short-lived biomarkers in biological samples. + Method development for SFC and LC-MS. + Preparing and analyzing biological samples (e.g., plasma, urine, tissues). + Participating in experimental design, data analysis, and result interpretation. + Documenting and presenting your findings in collaboration with your supervisor. **Your profile** + Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field + Strong interest and foundational knowledge in (bio)chemical analytics + Hands-on mentality and willingness to work in a laboratory setting + Motivation to learn and operate advanced MS and chromatography systems + Prior experience with MS or chromatography (SFC, LC-MS) is a plus + Open-minded, communicative personality with a proactive approach to problem-solving + Very good English skills, both written and spoken **What we can offer you** + As a student intern, you can expect a **fair expense allowance** (payment of the currently valid minimum wage) + You will be given **2.5 days of paid time off for every full month** of the internship + A full-time internship is **37.5 hours a wee** k (a smaller number of hours can be arranged) The duration of the initial **internship** is **approximately 3 months** , followed by a **6-month master's thesis** .
